The Accounting Department at Siena College seeks a part-time faculty member to teach one course during the spring 2024 semester.

This course examines digital evidence procedures, focusing on techniques and emerging trends among various crimes within our society, and the challenges digital devices pose during internal audits, financial fraud and crime scene investigation. Students will learn the fundamental process of understanding what evidence can be developed from digital forensics and tips on analyzing data collected from electronic devices (including computers, media, and other digital evidence), in order to assist in a full scope audit or investigation. This course delves into the following areas of digital forensics and investigations: 1) Understanding The Digital Forensics Profession and Investigations; 2) Processing Crimes and Incident Scenes; 3) Current Digital Forensic Tools; 4) Email and Social Media Investigations; 5) Mobile Device Forensics; 6) Cloud Forensics; 7) Ethics for the Expert Witness; 8) Expert Testimony in Digital Investigations and; 9) Report Writing for High Tech Investigations

Salary $1,200.00 per contact hour

The hiring salary above represent the College's good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law.

Job Requirements:

A Master's of Science in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, or a related field is preferred and a Bachelor's degree and significant professional experience is required. A background screening will be required. A background screening will be required.
